Nursing Course is that course after 12th in which students learn to take care of the ill and injured patient. Through these courses, the student gained knowledge on how to treat a patient and provide precautionary care to healthy persons. Nurses do not only do patient care even they are taught also teaches the patient about their current health status.

In India, a student can pursue a career in nursing after 12th. A lot of options are available in the form of the various type of courses such as diploma, graduate or postgraduate courses in nursing.

As per skills, qualifications, and experience, you can apply for a job in any private or government running hospitals, nursing homes, orphanages, community health centers, rehabilitation clinics, old age homes, industries, sanatoriums and even in armed forces. Indian Red Cross Society, Indian Nursing Council, and State Nursing Councils also provide various employment options for you as a qualified nurse.

Who Is Eligible For Nursing Course?

If you decide to pursue your career in nursing you can choose the course and take admission in any Nursing course as per your current qualification status.

  • 1. Students must complete their Class 10+2 in Science stream with PCB can opt for a 3-year Bachelor’s Degree Course.
  • 2. If you have a bachelor’s degree in Nursing you can go for a 2-year long Master’s Degree Course.
  • 3. Students who have just completed their 10th may also go for a Diploma Course which could be one or two years long.
  • 4. Successful completion of Postgraduate Degree in Nursing students can take admission in PhD in Nursing.
